Positives: The dosa was so crispy and delicious. The idlis were also done well. The cauliflower appetizer and filter coffee were also good. The restaurant is very busy, but the staff handled it well and the wait list moves quickly. Negatives: The atmosphere left something to be desired during the dinner rush. It was very noisy and not relaxing. There was also a hair in one of our chutneys. Skip the falooda it was just okay, not worth the price.
A feedback if you can accommodate please. Kindly don't lock your doors if your end-time says 3 PM. You should allow customers to enter if they have reached even 5 minutes earlier. If that's not possible, kindly change your restaurant timing. We like your restaurant but felt it too rude to find a locked door with people inside. We were there at 2:45 PM today and doors were locked with people inside. Hope this feedback lands into responsible hands.
Hands down one of the best south Indian restaurants I've been to. Everything was amazing from the paneer tikka to the nann. I literally could eat here every day. The best part, everything is vegetarian! So I can order the entire menu. The place was packed when we went on a Thursday night and the service was so so. It definitely took longer than I was expecting, but it was worth the wait. The restaurant itself was a little loud, but it was full of happy families eating dinner. It is a large restaurant and seats many people. Bonus it's right across the street from my gym so I plan to get this to-go more often.
I'm a fan of A2B! It's really nice to see a location that has opened nearby. I really like that they are a completely vegetarian restaurant with reliable food. I would have to say that you are best off just ordering the South Indian food that they are known for - you can't go wrong with ordering a dosa here! While I appreciate they have an expanded menu, I would say that their North Indian food options lack in flavor and seem extra oilier than they need to be. Because of how busy they are (especially on the weekends), service can be a bit slow, but I appreciate how they continue to maintain the space and there is plenty of room inside. There is also a snack station to-go in the back you can take a look while waiting for food. I appreciate that they integrated a kiosk at the front as well to make sure that customers waiting get a general wait time and it's organized instead of it just being chaos! I definitely recommend trying!!!
A2B has always been one of my favorite dosa spots back in India, so I was absolutely thrilled when I discovered that they have a location in Illinois. Even though it's quite a drive from the city, it was more than worth it. We visited on a Saturday, and although the place was pretty packed, we were fortunate enough to get a table without any wait. Despite the crowd, the staff were incredibly attentive and efficient. They quickly took our orders, and the food was served promptly. One thing that stood out was how well-organized everything was, even with the busy atmosphere. Plus, they have ample parking, which made the experience even more convenient. We tried the ghee roast dosa and the masala dosa, both of which were absolutely delicious. The dosa was perfectly crispy, and the masala filling was seasoned just right. We also ordered rose milk and butter milk, both of which complemented the meal perfectly. It was a delightful experience overall, and I'm already looking forward to returning to try more dishes from the menu. Anytime we're in the mood for a good dosa, A2B will definitely be our go-to spot!
This restaurant is close to Naperville and we visited the joint while returning from a trip in the evening. The restaurant opens at 5pm in the evening, and is pretty much full by 5:30. We reached around 5:45pm and were fortunate to get a seat. We ordered a ghee roast dosa, choley bhature and a mini thali. The ghee roast was crisped up perfectly, and the smell of ghee stayed with me long after the meal. The choley bhature was a little oily, but the taste was perfect. The mini thali seemed like the most economical option for one person. We devoured the meal in no time. This might end up being a go-to for good Indian food. Service was quick, and the server was kind and good with recommendations. Loved the experience!
We love A2B. Our friends had them for their events so we wanted to go back for ourselves. We were near the area and can't say no to dosa. We ordered some vegetable samosas (a must have), and mysore masala dosa. The spice was perfect, the sambhar was great! The service was quick and responsive. The ambiance was perfect for date night or a dinner with friends or family! The only issue I had was they don't have spicy chutney- which I always enjoy.
A2B (Adyar Ananda Bhavan) is a true gem for anyone who loves authentic Indian vegetarian cuisine, and it easily earns a 5/5 from me! From the moment you step in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, offering a comfortable space for casual dining or family meals. The menu is an extensive celebration of South Indian flavors, with everything from dosas, idlis, and vadas to curries, rice dishes, and sweets. Each dish is packed with fresh, vibrant flavors and made to perfection. The dosas are crispy and delicious, while the sambar and coconut chutney are the perfect accompaniments. Don't miss their signature sweets like the Mysore Pak or the kesari--it's the perfect way to end your meal! staff ensures your dining experience is smooth and enjoyable. The restaurant also maintains high standards of cleanliness, which makes it even more enjoyable. If you're a fan of Indian vegetarian food, A2B is a must-visit. It's a fantastic spot that consistently delivers both quality and taste! Highly recommend!
This place is a gem for southern Indian food especially Tamil Nadu flavored. My Tamilian friend recommended this place to me so we ended up going here on Saturday evening for dinner. It was packed! Felt very nostalgic of visiting popular restaurant in India. Cool thing is that as you enter there is self check in kiosk and it gives a text so you don't have to stand at the reception. We got table in 20 mins and then we order a bunch of items. Everything was very flavorful. We ended up getting more items for to-go as well. Inside, there is Indian snack-sweet counter to get some to go items. Nice layout and fast service. FYI - you will get only vegetarian food and no alcohol but it is totally worth it.
